Get release version number through PowerAppsForMaker

Dears,

I would like to print the Release Version of MyApp in a label on the home screen, so that the text of the label is automatically updated once the app is released. I found some confusing posts on the topic and not a solution.

I am using the PowerAppForMaker connector in the follwing way:

Set(appSettings,First(PowerAppsforMakers.GetAppVersions("1dde868f-c679-4a3a-b4b8-e528093b7e02").value).properties);
Set(appVersion,"v" & appSettings.minClientVersion.major & "." & appSettings.minClientVersion.minor & "." & appSettings.minClientVersion.build);

My doubts are:

1. PowerAppsforMakers.GetAppVersions need the GUID of the APP, which is different the her sister released in PROD so --> the Guid cannot be written in the code

2. What I called appVersion seems to be related to the client version of Power Apps iteself and not of my personal Power App

3. Which version number is available through PowerAppsForMakers and how to get it?

Thanks for your help

Paolo

    On App start:
    ClearCollect (
    AppVersionNumber,
    PowerAppsforMakers.GetAppVersions("51eb367u-4852-40ffb-9474-ba824f21c512")
    );

    Label Text Property:
    "Version "&CountIf(Ungroup(AppVersionNumber,"value"),properties.lifeCycleId="Published")

    Hello Gorgon thanks for your answer, the GetAppVersions takes in input the AppGuid which is strictly related to the environment where the app is deployed.

    In other words my AppId in DEv environment is d9a1d567-0e13-40a6-8dc9-a9b4be53c25d while in production is 1dde868f-c679-4a3a-b4b8-e528093b7e02 means that I cannot write the guid statically in the code otherwise it will work for DEV environment and not for production or viceversa

    Could you do and if condition on the app ID?

    I'm personally struggling to get the major version number as 2.5 rather than 25.

    The domain referenced in the message is (excuse the pun) dysfunctional.  The domain no longer appears to be active.  Can you post updated information?
