Share Point lookup column is good or bad choice?

Hi there,

Could someone provide a good advice here?

I am building an app and at some point I need to take a decision of relationships. I have several lists and most of them should be connected by a lookup column. Down the road in my app I need to connect the data and for instance filter a combobox to show the values from List A and save the selected value in list B. and set the default value of list B but shows the value of List A.

Anyway the question is?

What is better: have the relationship in Sharepoint adding the lookups columns ?

Or

In powerapps have additional labels that collect the ID value and save that value in the new list?

Then create a lookups to compare the value salved with the value in the other list?

I have reading post and post and most of them said that patching complex columns in SP something is a complicated process.

I just want to know for the best practices what is better in terms of performance, stability, app design etc, Use or avoid SPL lookup columns?

thanks in advance

My opinion is --> In PowerApps have additional labels that collect the ID value and save that value in the new list. I have using Lookup column in SharePoint list.. lot of critical to develop PowerApps. That mean compare to New Column vs Lookup column...

Bad idea! @WarrenBelz explains why herehttps://www.practicalpowerapps.com/

This blog should be mandatory reading for everyone considering using Sharepoint with PowerApps.

Thank you. I think that this paragraph explain everything:

"....Lookup fields add considerable and completely unnecessary complication to both querying and writing data in Power Apps and are not Delegable on several levels. You simply do not need them as the same lookup can be done in Power Apps and the data written back to a Text field....."
