Issues with Create CSV table action resetting

(1) ShareShare

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

In my Flow, a “Create CSV table” action was utilized in order to convert data from an Excel spreadsheet into a CSV table.

The “From criteria” remains unchanged as does the “Include headers” option. However, the “Columns” option always reverts back to “Automatic” and removes the Item() expression.

The Flow runs great, but not sure why this action reverts each time I go into edit mode to change something.

    Hi @Anonymous

Can you please share more details on this? Where is your excel sheet stored? What is there in the "Output" of the from value in your Create CSV table action? Also, what custom columns are you trying to bring in? Does your excel have tables?

If you could share a screenshot of the entiore flow (barring any sensitive information), it would give us a better uderstanding of the issue and we will be able to assist you better.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    Thanks for feedback.

I am afraid that it is a default behavior that Item() expression will be removed and return back to its exact name.

However, the issue “reverts back to Automatic” could not be reproduced on my side, if I select Custom, it will still be Custom when I edit the flow.

Which browser are you using? I am using Chrome.

Please take a try with a different browser.
