Hi all,

As the name suggests, I have a flow that runs every Sunday night that  re adds all the tasks from my weekly planner into correct buckets for the correct day.

this has been running perfectly but now I need to start deleting off the completed ones but I cant seem to get the flow correct.

this is the flow

and it is running successfully but it is not deleting the completed tasks

I know you can manually delete the completed tasks but I need to have it automated to fit it in with the operations of our daily schedule and there is 1000s in there and it has reached it maximum

    Hi there,

I don't understand why your condition is blank on the left side? Did you mean to put Status or Percentage Complete or something in there to compare to?  It's not saying the "Delete a Task" failed, it's saying it didn't run, it would've taken the "No" path because a blank field does not equal 100.

I think adding your dynamic content to the left side of the condition will solve your problem.

If i am 100% honest I wasn't sure what to do in there,

as if it is false then i want it to be left alone.

so in theory my process was

    get tasks

for each task that meets the condition

    do the action

    for each that does not

    do nothing

if i need to put something in there, what would you suggest?

    thanks

    Hi @Mikeyh146 ,

This seems to be working well in my test.  Here I have a scheduled trigger than runs every 6 months and I list tasks in my planner board.  In my condition, I check if the value of the bucket is equal to the ID of the completed bucket (you get this ID by looking at the output of list tasks, you can't just use bucket name 'Completed' it has to be the ID), and then if true, I delete the task by using custom value and selecting the dynamic content List ID from list Item action.

    Again, works in testing.

But right now, you're saying "if BLANK is equal to 100" ... that will never be true, because there is no "blank" field. It will always evaluate to false.

You probably want "Percent Complete" from your dynamic content. Like this:

    Rhiassuring_0-1699915774922.png "value Percent Complete"

Also, right now you're saying that every 6 months you want to delete ALL Completed tasks. Doesn't matter if they were completed 6 months ago or 6 seconds ago. Is that what you're looking to do?

thank you, looking at your test, would this work with 7 buckets or would i need to create one for each bucket?

    Apoligies,

I am not sure why this wasn't in the screen grab, it was listed with ValueID in there but will run it now with with what you put, but yes i want to delete all completed tasks every 6 month, not matter when they had been completed.

unless there is an alternative that works better?

    Hi @Rhiassuring ,

No this is bucket specific.  If you want to run this by completion status it would look like this:

In my  condition, I am checking against int(100).

    Works in testing...

Nope, if you want to delete every completed thing every 6 moths, all good!

An irritating thing to know, though: if you are on a free license, it won't work, and will shut off after 90 days. If you're licensed, should be fine.

For all your buckets: yes, it will work for all of them - it doesn't care, it only cares about what plan you're targeting.

-- Edit: @trice602  Percent Complete is specific to the BUCKET and not the TASK? It says right in the description of the dynamic content that it's for the task..

It's also working for me across two buckets:

Okay that's fine I am licensed.

although this is what is coming up.

i changed it to the int(100) as mentioned above and will see if this works, the last comment of yours didnt seem to work with the planner.
