Has anyone see a tel link like this stop working on iPhones after the power apps app updates from 3.23 to 3.24?
This is a canvas app, on Button OnSelect:
Launch("tel:(800) 000-0000");
A client recently reported this issue and I cannot determine how to solve it. This works fine on Android v 3.24 and browsers.
The client reports users using power apps app 3.23 versions it is working OK.
I found a solution. When creating the "tel" link make sure you convert formatted phone numbers to digits only.
Here is an example of the conversion of a phone number like (000) 000-0000 to just digits in a gallery item:
before:
Launch("tel:" & ThisItem.'Phone Number')
after:
Launch("tel:" & Concat(Filter(Split(ThisItem.'Phone Number',""),IsNumeric(Value)),Value))
