Date/Time In PowerApps does not match date/time in Excel data table

I've made some edits to the way the date is displayed, but from the very beginning, the date and time do not match the date and times that are in Excel.

My only guess is that in power apps it is acting as a date value and just assigning it a time. Double check that it is an actual datetime value in power apps and it is not just abstracting a time.

I'm sorry but I have no idea what that means or how to check that. It also doesn't seem like it would explain why the date is different in my app vs in my excel table.

Go into the formula bar and then click on where the date is in the formula. It will show below what data type it is equal to.

The reason is that power apps could just be inserting it in as a date. When it is then converted to a datetime, it just assigns a standard time to it, in your case it would seem to be 1:00 pm.

This might not be the issue, but this is my first instinct as I had a similar issue and it was being inserted as a date and then converted to a datetime when I needed it as a datetime at the start.

The date and time actually come from two different fields, one is the Date field (formatted in Excel as Date) and one is the time Field (formatted in Excel as Time), so it could be assigning a random time to the date and date to the time, but that doesn't explain why it is not using the date that is listed.

The date/Time in Excel is specific. It's serialised, and on top, You only format the cell to hh:mm when you change the cell to number, you will see there will be a number behind this is the count of seconds from 01/01/1900 and then formatted to Time (power apps more likely will see it as 01/01/1900 07:00), which means there is no way it will match Power Apps what as a default use UTC time and also in some occasions it also applies automated timezone.

That is helpful. When I changed it to show both date and time in the same cell in excel, the date then matched, but the time is different (I think it's as you said, the time zone is not right). How do I get the time to show correctly or the app to show the correct time zone?
