Is there a way to separate multiple answers from a single question in a Microsoft Form into individual rows in the Excel reponse sheet?

For example: What is your favorite food? Apples, Oranges, Bananas appears as three individual rows in the Excel sheet instead of appearing in one cell.

I am rather confused by your post. In the first sentence, you ask if there is a way to separate the responses from a question into individual rows in Excel. Then your second sentence says they are going into individual rows, but you want them in one cell. Can you clarify and show your flow and what is happening? That would probably clear up the confusion.

If the response from Microsoft Forms has multiple answers: apples, oranges, bananas I would like them to each be in an individual row in Excel instead of them appearing in one single cell.

Short answer: No. At least, not in the auto-populated Excel file.

To clarify what I think you're looking for, a single response to the form appears in the Excel file as a single row, like this:

ResponseID Submitted Fruits

1 12/31/2024 12:00:00 Apples, Oranges, Bananas

And what you want is this:

ResponseID Submitted Fruits

1 12/31/2024 12:00:00 Apples

1 12/31/2024 12:00:00 Oranges

1 12/31/2024 12:00:00 Bananas

There's no way to achieve this with the default Excel file. You could, however, use a Power Automate flow to do it. Basically, assumging that "Fruits" question is choice question allowing multiple selections, the response is an array of data (even if only one option is selected, it's still formatted as an array). You could use an "apply to each" action to perform an action (add row to table or create item in a SharePoint/Microsoft list) for each value selected.
