Issues Creating a Basic HelpDesk App (Power Apps Importing Office 365 Outlook Connection)

Hi all,

I'm technologically challenged so bare with me.

I'm trying to create a very basic HelpDesk app using Microsoft 365 following these steps: https://www.bulb.digital/blog/how-to-set-up-a-help-desk-app

When I get to the import step in Power Apps, I was able to connect SharePoint, but when creating a new connection for Outlook, I was unable to find it in the list of connections

I searched for outlook, office, email, 365, and then scanned through the entire long list and didn't come across anything regarding Outlook. I've searched and saw a bunch of articles stating they changed the name of the Outlook connector, but neither name is showing up at all for me.

Can someone either tell me what I'm doing wrong or give me pointers on how to make a helpdesk app that only I need to access (will input tickets by myself) that is better than just building an excel spreadsheet?

Thank you!

    hi @Billy-P

On that screen you need to select the + Sign to create a new connection while you are configuring/importing the app. You wont be able to select one unless you had already created one.

    So options

    1. Go to powerapps.com

    2.  click on Connections

    3. Create new connections for Outlook and whatever else  you need in advance.

During the import, Select these (they will show up since you made them)

    or

During the import, click the + to create them right then

If I have helped you, I would really appreciate if you please Mark my answer as Resolved/Answered, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

Hi there, thanks for the responses. The new connection area is where I have been going and Outlook isn't in the list that populates. I have the full 365 suite for business, so that's really weird that I don't see it! I was able to find Sharepoint and hundreds of other applications.

I used ctrl F and 0 results are found for Outlook

Is there not a Search box on the far top right?? like in my image? Yeah you wont find it CTRL F, you have to use the search feature.
