Is there a way to identify which fields these are referring to? Having this information displayed in this manner is not helpful and makes troubleshooting my flows very difficult.

I know that is not super user-friendly (yet). There are a couple of options that I use:
1) As you know already, you can hover over and see it quickly that way but not always a best option;
2) If I really need to see all on the screen, you can go into settings view and see the individual conditions there which may be a little better than the first option. BTW: this view is in the Edit with Co-pilot option.
