Manage app in Enterprise

Hello!

I am looking for some advice on how to proceed.

I have an app that works using a 10 SharePoint lists, 5 that determine the values shown in various dropdowns, 5 that store data generated from the app. This setup works for my main project.

But, I would like to share this app with other users with in the company. They are at different projects and will need separate databases, and lists. I do not want the different users to be able to read each others data.

I am working with only the default environment and no other environment have been created. We have an E3 license, which allows for free use of PowerApps with no Premimum connectors.

Currently I believe I would need to set up multiple "versions" of the app, and link them to a separate set of SharePoint Lists.
If I would ever add a new feature to my "app" I would need to update each of the different versions of my app so they contain the same code. This feels like the wrong method, so I am asking the community for suggestions on an easier system to manage my app.

Thank you for your help,

Erik

    Hi @Anonymous ,

As per my understanding , you can use Same List,

Just Display the Data Based on User Role. /Filtered ways.

Like , If am the User logged into your App. then User can DIsplay the based on My Email Filter.

    Filter(ListName,'Created By'.Email=User().Email).
Thant displays the record only created by Loggedin Use.

But if you want to go with Multiple apps the then. Modify the 1 App and Manually you can Save as with Modified App with Another app.
    Thanks,

    Hello Vijay,

    Thank you for your suggestion.

If I would go for multiple apps, and save the change over existing app using Save As I would still need to switch the connected data sources for every app before saving. That could work but it still quite complex.

Your suggestion to use the same SharePoint list for all users in company but to display only the data of the single individual shows promise. I want to ensure that users can read both the data they have created, but also that of others from the same "Business Unit". But I want to hide their data from users of any other "Business Units". This should be true both in the app but also on SharePoint. Since list must be shared with users, how can I ensure only those from one unit have access to specific rows of the SharePoint List?
