Approval for items that haven't been edited for a week

Hello again! 🙂

following scenario:

a task is completed and set to status completed.

the teacher receives an email which he can check and complete the task.

the teacher is on holiday or something else and the task isn't fully completed.

after a week, the student gets the chance to mark (approval) the task as done himself.

how to build the flow? I don't know what needs to be entered in the conditions.

i want something like this:

  1. Recurrence: Everyday at 8:00am
  2. check all elements in *** list
  3. condition: status value is completed and elements have not been changed for a week*
  4. approval: set element to completed
  5. ...

*what must be in the conditions?

    Hello @pascontz ,

the flow would look like a reminder flow

    • Recurrence
    • Get items with Filter Query
Status eq 'completed' and Modified lt '@{addToTime(utcNow(),-1,'Month')}'

Note: Status = internal name of your status column
    • Approval for the returned items

    Hello @tom_riha

Thank you for your answer. It didnt work for me with Filter Query but i used your solution for condition.

    Condition
    1. Status Value is completed
    2. modified greather than formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),7),'dd-MMMM-yyyy')

But now i have the problem, that the "students" dont arrieved email approvals.

    assigned to student email

it only works if i use an email (student@school.com) instead of a dynamic one

    Hello @pascontz ,

dynamic emails should work just fine, as long as you enter only the email address in the recipient field.
