Problem with FILTER Function

I am seeking assistance with the following FILTER Function for an Items property of a Gallery where I want:
1. all rows with a 'Status' = Active, and
2. where an employee id number ('XO SN-PRI LABLEl") matches that of the user using the app (varMemberInfo)

The filter works when I use each logic test independently but fails when I put them both together. I've tried:

1. reversing the order of the logic tests, and

2. using 'And' as well as && in place of the ','

All with no luck.

What am I missing?

'XO FOREIGN SERVICE PREMIUMS',
varMemberInfo.'XO SN-PRI LABEL' = 'XO LU MEMBER'.'XO SN-PRI LABEL',
Status = 'Status (XO FOREIGN SERVICE PREMIUMS)'.Active
)
