Search Gallery For Records

Hi there,

Not sure if this is possible its been racking my brain.

Is there a way to search key words from separate text records from the Gallery selection ..?

I've created a project tracking app linked by unique SharePoint ID's Below is one project with weekly updates. Is there a way to  search all records in the 4 submissions below without opening each record ..? Specifically the text fields of each record.

Not even sure if this is possible or not.

    Hi @Anonymous

Where are these text values in your Gallery coming from?  Here's an example.  Below you will see my "Data Source", the table on the right, which contains the text values.  These values can all be searched for in the Gallery on the left with the formula

    Search(colTest,TextInput1.Text,"Report","Week")

If the text values do not appear in your data source, you can always add them to a collection first, and then use that collection to drive your gallery and your search.  I'm sure we can think of other approaches as well if you can explain a bit more about these text values and where they are coming from.

    Hi @Anonymous,

Could you please tell me that how you set the Items property to filter these 4 records?

Actually, if you want to access to the text fields of the Gallery selection, you just need to refer to the following in the Text property of a Label or other control expect text string.

    Gallery1.Selected.Field

    Hi,

Here is the Items property for the Gallery: Filter('7_PDStatus', StatusID=varRecord.ID)

I guess the question is once the selected field "Additional Comments" is searched and a word is isolated how I would I go about if even possible to highlight the record in the gallery..?

You can use the Fill property of your label, or the Border property, to change the color to highlight it
