External users using AI Builder

I have a complicated case where my client (A) wants to provide service to their external client (B) that involves AI Builder.

A manufactures and sells a car engine to B. B implements that engine to a finished car.

B checks whether they implemented the engine correctly by taking a photo and let AI Builder object detection

Per my understanding, A is my client so allowing B to use AI Builder capability is not an option, but is there a workaround to achieve above?

I was thinking maybe A can develop an UI app for B, which just takes the pic and sends that pick to A's tenant and let AI builder run and sends the result back to the UI App.

Anyone came across similar situation that involves two different companies using AI Builder?

    Hi @tomoyakaji ,

Yes, if B doesn't have any Power Platform environment with AI Builder it's not possible to run an application with an AI Builder model. What you suggest is indeed a possible workaround, let me detail what the process could be:

    • B send images of the engine to A into a common SharePoint or to an email address
    • A sets up a Power Automate flow with a trigger that checks a new file dropped in a SharePoint folder or from an incoming email, processes this file with AI Builder Object Detection, and sends the output into a log file in SharePoint or via email to B
    • B consults the log in SharePoint or via email and can fix issues based on it

Let me know if you have any question, you can also contact me directly if needed.
