Hi community,

I'm trying to understand how app passes work and just made some tests.

Status-quo:

- 600 app passes available in total (according to the Power Platform admin center --> Capacity), 130 of which are currently assigned to different environments

Steps I made for testing:

- created a completely new production environment (with sample apps, which already gives some testing data in Dataverse tables)

- assigned 1 app pass to this environment in the Power Platform admin center

- created 3 different apps and connected them to dataverse tables

- played these 3 apps simultaniously with 2 test users (without per user plan) in browser and all were accessable (could read, edit data from dataverse tables)

- tried to un-assigned this 1 app pass from the environment (so back to 0 again), and still can play all 3 apps with 2 test users

Could someone shed some light on this behaviour? Is assignment of app passes to environments no longer required?
