Camera image resolution

My app captures images via the camera control and stores it in sharepoint as Base64. However, the image file size is too long to display in PowerBi. It cuts off the image and only about 1/8 th portion of the image is shown (32767 limitation in Powerbi). Is there anyt way to force PowerApps to take only low resolution image so the data size is not so large?  I tried the PowerApps "Optimize images for Upload" setting in PowerBi menu in the phone, but makes no difference for me. Tried republishing app, restarting phone.. with no luck
