I am trying to populate cascading dropdown menus with data from Azure Data Explorer.
I am not able to pull data from Azure Data Explorer using ClearCollect. I am placing this in the OnSelect property of a button: ClearCollect(tempColl, AzureDataExplorer.listKustoResultsPost("cluster","database", "query").value).
When I highlight the query, it says "This formula has side effects and cannot be evaluated". When I hover over the warning sign in the dropdown (that has tempColl as Items), it says "Warning: The columns produced by this rule are all nested tables and/or records, however the property expects at least some columns of simple values (such as text, or numbers)." I tried to make a data table to test if the collection has values, and it is also empty.
My prediction was that it had to do with the fact that my query results in three columns that are related to each other, in a nested format, since my goal is to have cascading drop downs with that data. But even when I made it one column, I still had the same errors.
Have any of you faced something similar or have any recommendations?
