Date picker not displaying correct date format after selection

I have a date pciker on an edit form that is set to display using format dd/mm/yyyy, however when a user creates a new record and selects the date using the calednar picker once they select OK to select the date the date picker displays in american date format mm/dd/yyyy up until you select the Save button at which time it reverts to the correct format.  The issue is up unitl the user hits the Save button they think the date is wrong and insert the wrong date by changing the date manually to our standard format.  here in Australia we use dd/mm/yyyy as the norm.

How can I get the date picker to display the correct format before they save the record?

How did you set the date format to dd/mm/yyyy.

I set the language to "en-gb" (that's UK as they also follow dd/mm/yyyy) and it worked well.

    Hope it helps!

    Vivek,

I was using DefaultDate = Text(ThisItem.MyDate,"[$-en-US] dd/mm/yyyy").  This would display the correct date but only after I hit Save but would display in US date format before that so was confusing for the user.

Your suggestion fixed the problem so it always displays UK time.

Ive been looking for a solution to this issue for a couple of days and tried diferent ways of using Text(<Date value>, [$-en-US]dd/mm/yyyy, "en-GB") which failed.

I am glad for such a simple solution
