How do I convert 'mm/dd/yyyy' to 'mmddyyyy' ?

I have a date that I need to convert from mm/dd/yyyy to mmddyyyy.  I can't figure out how to do it.  Can someone please help?

    @Anonymous Try this expession formatDateTime(your date here,'MMddyyyy')

    I would use the following expression: 

    formatDateTime(variables('DATEwrong'), 'MMddyyyy')

    I hope the pictures make it more clear what i mean.
