Power automate adds extra characters to URL

Hello all,

I have created a flow where I have an Excel spreadsheet with URLs.

I have created a "Read from Excel worksheet" step.

This is what shows in the Excel exported table:

When I look at the result, can see that the URL is correct and it navigates to the correct site.

 

When I "Launch new Chrome" or "Launch new MS Edge" with with Initial URL from t the path specified in the "Read from Excel worksheet" step , I get this site:

https://travefy.com/a/library/idea-editor/2489620%0D%0A

Any ideas why?

    Might be something about hidden newline symbols in Excel.

    Try to activate your URL text variable with the Trimmed property in your Launch MS Edge action: %ExcelData.Trimmed%

    As you can see when the same text from Excel is copied onto a Hex editor like Notepad++ there is a carriage return line feed visible at the end

    As Henrik_M has pointed out, trim the text before using it.

     

    You can also use the Trim text string action.
