Edititing Gallery Items

i am trying to add or edit a gallery item. When I select the edit gallery icon, it is selecting the gallery left edge only. Not selecting the full gallery template. Refer to attached image. i checked the gallery width and template size however its width are not set to Zero. Please help to troubleshoot this.
