Hi
So, I understand there is a Business Central (BC) Connector, which has a list of standard Business Central tables that can be used to connect the data table to a PowerApp. However, the data I need my PowerApp to connect to within Business Central is in a custom table that is not available in the PowerApp BC Connector. I was informed that Power Automate could be used in some cases. But i am not sure i'd do this and whether it is possible. The scenario I have is;
In my PowerApp I have the users account details broken down into sections using Tabs. I have been able to use the BC Connector for the Employee record for the Personal and Address Details tabs in my PowerApp. But within BC we have created our own Payroll Module and I need to be able to display Parts of the Payroll Employee record, which is in a different table to the one for Employee.
As you can see in the screenshot for the Pay Tab, I can't create a form using a BC Connector for the rest of these tabs because the data is in a custom Payroll Employee table. So, i figured i'd have to create my form by inserting labels and inputs matching the fields in my customer Payroll Employee table. The part I can't figure out or know if it's possible is to display the record information in the Field inputs I create in powerapps. So that if a User clicks on their Pay Tab, the data is displayed according to what is in the table.
I can't understand how I could use power automate from this because there isn't a specific even that triggers it. I would want the record when created or modified in BC to display in the PowerApps, but i would also want it to display constantly, not just when the record is created or modified but whenever the user clicks the Pay Tab, as i'd need it to check the record.
Any help would be so appreciated.
Kind Regards
Reece
