Trying out the new github feature for canvas apps. Followed the steps, but when I get to enter user id and password (yes, the personal token not the github password), it accepts it but the screen never updates to show its under source control.
I have the same problema. I get to enter user id and password (yes, the personal token not the github password), but always show me "invalid username or password. please try again". Somebody help us?

Does anyone have any updates regarding this issue? I'm also experiencing the same problem. I entered my username and personal access token in password field and its returning an error "invalid username or password". I double checked everything and made sure its the correct credentials.

Solution, even if not the cleanest.Export your app as package and then import it back. Git access is fortunately deleted afterwards.At least you get your last development state.
Were you able to get past the issue "invalid username or password" when signing in to your git repository from Power Apps? If so, can you provide details on how you fixed it?
The old PAT (Personal Access Token) seems to have expired.
You have to proceed as I described. Export your app as package and then import it back. Git access is fortunately deleted afterwards.After that create new Git PAT. Then use the new PAT to reconnect the reimported app to Git.
Thanks for the reply. I have a newly generated PAT (token) with the appropriate scope permissions but I'm still getting the "invalid username/password" error.
Anyone gotten this to work without exporting and importing? I am facing this after the token has expired. Entering a newly generated token as password does not work.
Turns out I forgot I had to re-authorize the new token with our GitHub enterprise organization. After having completed this, the new token worked.
