Check the roster, delete the person from training list if not part of the roster

So in my company we have mandatory trainings and I developed an app to upload the training and store the information into a sharepoint list

I am now trying to create a flow that cycles through the trainings sharepoint list checking employee id

If that employee id is no longer in the company roster those trainings are deleted from the training sharepoint

With the screenshots I provided when I run that flow it deletes all the items from my sharepoint list

Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated

I have the same question (0)

Your Filter Array action should be happening outside of the Apply to Each loop.

Please refer to this post for instructions on how to use the Filter Array action properly. This post covers how to cross-reference items to a SP list.

    Hope this helps!

Take it step by step and run a test where I indicate to run a test. It will be easier to troubleshoot your flow this way rather than trying to build it from start to finish especially if you are new to PA.

I personally find it more efficient to build a flow by testing at each section to ensure I'm returning the correct values. If you aren't returning the correct values, the next actions won't run anyway.

    Good luck!

so to know make sure I am checking my sharepoint list for employee ID and cross checking that with the employee roster. Am I on the right track?

As long as the Employee ID Excel corresponds to the Title Value in SharePoint.

If you run a test (without the apply to each action). The values returned in the Select on both branches of your flow should return values that you can cross-reference. Otherwise you aren't going to be able to filter any items out with the Filter Array action.

    Hope that makes sense.

Is the Filter Array action returning anything?

Yes, they both returned the id from each table. I just didnt know what to do after that to actually make the correct deletions happen
