PAD UI Element does not capture or recognize web page filter

I am designing a flow that will pull reports from our internal website. The reports needed require to be filtered by a specific user.  This is where the issue arises. The way the site works, the drop-down arrow beside 'Updated By', we need to go to the 'Filters' and 'Contains' options to get to the area to population the text.  The two options do not require a click but is a hoover feature. I am attempting to get PAD to understand how to get to the field to population the user we need.  I have tried using the Recorder feature, but it does help and even with the current flow, using UI automation, I've not been successful.   I provided screen shots of how the filter appears and the flows for my current and the recorder.  Any suggestion would be helpful

You could try hover mouse feature and also could try sending keys to move from filter > contains > the text box. I don't have anything like that right now to try so I'm not sure but you could try "tab" key. Then when u manage to get to the text box, send keys again to fill whatever you'd like to fill.

Very likely, you can still use an actual click to do it. If the click does not result in any unwanted filters applied or the drop-down thing closing, you can send those clicks, which will make each menu actually open.

Alternatively you could use Send keys as suggested by @catto16 or a JavaScript.

Finally, does the filter actually appear in the URL after you apply it? Perhaps it's possible to simply pass it to the URL instead of doing it via the UI.
