Hi Team,
I have modified the SharePoint form using PowerApps and also have a associated remote event receiver event on item updating to check some validation such as permissions and other scenarios. If a validation is failing, error message is being returned from the remote event receiver to PowerApps form. I am capturing the error message and showing notification to users using the notify function and its working perfectly fine but form is getting reset. In case of any error, all the field are getting reset to original value even if I have not used reset function anywhere, Ideally it should maintain the error-causing values so that user can manually correct the values.
Hi @Rakesh_Chhillar ,
From your description, I know that your validation function works after user submit their request.
If yes, you can try to remove ResetForm(Self) function on OnSuccess property of SharePointFrom1, set its to false:
Note: above setting will have an affect: after create a qualified record, the form still will not reset. So if this user want to continue to create another record, he needs to close current form window and re-open a new form window. (I cannot think of a better way since you add a validation function)
Best regards,
Allen
I tried that but it did not work, and OnSuccess function is not being called, only failure function is being executed
Will this incorrect item be saved into your list if user received notification?
