Work with more than 2000 items

Hello everybody,

Is there a way to work with a database of more than 2000 items ?

Currently i have a database of more than 7000 items. My tip was to cut my data base in 4 list of 2000 items, but the developpement is very heavy. It's the only solution i found.

If i don't find another solution i will leave powerapps for another technology, delegation is a very big problem for big apps.

Is your data source SharePoint? If so, any delegable query will work on a list of any size (we have 40,000 + in some). I have also done a blog on Delegation with some tips on workarounds and well as one on SharePoint List construction.

but for example : Removeif() function works only on the first 2000 items, how to manage this issue ?

Hi @Anonymous

If you can filter the list down to less then 2k items you can use RemoveIf() on it. If you can't, you are SOL. If you want to avoid delegation issues, you may need to switch from SharePoint to SQL or Dataverse. However, these are premium connectors and come with a cost while SharePoint is free.

RemoveIf() will work fine if the (Delegable) filter returns less than 2,000 records to delete - or you can "pre-filter" to a record set of less than this to use any filter in it - you might also read my blog on using the With() statement.

You could work with the function "cocnurrent" and read de firts 2000 items asending and the last 2000 items desending, after that, delete the items that match with the same ID, it gives you 4000 data...
