How to make a field a currency field?

How do I make a field a currency field? Meaning, when a user enters a number it displays it as currency (USD)?

I have a SharePoint list column titled Project Budget and the field is set as currency in Sharepoint. On the PowerApps form I have the default for DataCardValue10 set as Text(Parent.Default,"[$-en-US]$#,##") but when I test entering a number on the form, it does nothing.

Please replace the code for the Default property with:

"$" & Text(Parent.Default,"[$-en-US]0,00")

It is working but it is not putting in the comma. Not a major issue but would be nice if it could. Any idea?

Hey @cwade0723!

Make sure that your DataCardValue can display text! If there are a TextInput, make sure that de format is "Text".

Try to change de comma for a period "."

Do you want to display the currency in the TextInput?

Since you have a currency field, I think you should do some modification.

You should set a variable to store the format currency by referencing to the OnChange property and assign it to the Default property of the TextInput control.

Set the OnChange property of the TextInput as below:

Set(VarCurrency,Text(Value(DataCardValue52.Text,"en"), "[$-en-US]$#,###.00", "en-US"))

Set the Default property of the TextInput as below:

VarCurrency
