PowerApps Sharepoint Permissions

BLUF: Is there a workaround to grant permission to a user to use the Power App with a SharePoint List as the data source, but not give same user direct access to the sharepoint list itself. My research says the user has to has access to data source too to see data on powerapp, but I was wondering if anyone one found a clever work around? Thank you
