Suppose you have a table called 'Employees List' with 2 columns of 'Person Type'.
| Employee |
Manager |
| Employee A |
Manager A |
| Employee B |
Manager A |
| Employee C |
Manager A |
| Employee D |
Manager B |
| Employee E |
Manager B |
Put this code in the Onstart property of the App to get the Manager's email
Set(varUser, User().Email)
Then use this code in the Items property of the Combobox used to select an employee
Choices('Employees List'.Manager)
Put this code in both the DisplayFields and SearchFields property of the ComboBox.
["Display Name"]
Finally, use this code in the DefaultSelectedItems property of the ComboBox
LookUp('Employees List', Employee.Mail = varUser, Manager)
