Using Distinct on Azure SQL

Hi,

I have below query that doesn't seem to be getting all the distinct values in my table column. Table has 200k rows and it looks like it's only looking at less than first 1000 rows. Anyone know how to get it to query all the records to return the distinct values?

SortByColumns(Search(Distinct('[dbo].[WFGSP_SeedPlan]', DSM), DSMSearchBox.Text, "Result"), "Result", If(SortDescending1, SortOrder.Descending, SortOrder.Ascending))

Thanks for any feedback in advance.

Hi @dansshin, Distinct is not yet a delegable function, that is the issue.

It will look at the first 500 rows only.

We need to wait for delegation to be extended, this is a most urgent issue so please add your vote to related issues in the ideas.

    Thanks.

@Meneghino Thank you for the confirmation.

I suspected it as much so I modified the data model so I didn't have to use the Distinct and updated the code and now it's working with 200k+ rows. I'll make sure to add my vote to related issue for this.

It looks like there is no search within Ideas forum. Do you happened to have link to the related posted for this in there?

    Thank you.

There is nothing yet specifically for Distinct, but here is a related one:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Ideas/Extend-delegation-to-IsBlank/idi-p/13914

And I have just created this one too:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Ideas/Extend-delegation-to-Sum-and-CountRows/idi-p/23193

You can create one on Dstinct, of course.

    Search is here:
