Hi Experts,

I have a requirement where I need to schedule a power automate flow which should fetch data from the Power Apps portal and send the Portal records through email. I tried creating a Power Automate flow to achieve this. But the flow returns the following in the 'Compose' step,

[
{
"@odata.type": "#Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.cabe_testrecipients",
"@odata.id": "https://orgxxxxxx.crm.dynamics.com/api/data/v9.1/cabe_testrecipientses(68f90964-08e9-ea11-bf23-0003ff99d64f)",
"@odata.etag": "W/\"8016677\"",
"@odata.editLink": "cabe_testrecipientses(68f90964-08e9-ea11-bf23-0003ff99d64f)",
"cabe_testrecipientsid@odata.type": "#Guid",
"cabe_testrecipientsid": "68f90964-08e9-ea11-bf23-0003ff99d64f",
"a_b9f60891abd8468995beee2d5d6f807e.emailaddress1@OData.Community.Display.V1.AttributeName": "emailaddress1",
"a_b9f60891abd8468995beee2d5d6f807e.emailaddress1": "exampleid1@gmail.com"
},
{
"@odata.type": "#Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.cabe_testrecipients",
"@odata.id": "https://orgxxxxxx.crm.dynamics.com/api/data/v9.1/cabe_testrecipientses(68f90964-08e9-ea11-bf23-0003ff99d64f)",

]

Could anyone please suggest me how I can retrieve the email addresses 'exampleid1@gmail.com', 'exampleid2@gmail.com' and add it as semicolon separated list in the 'Send Email' step? The email address is obtained from a lookup field from another entity.

Could anyone please suggest on this.

Appreciate your help.

Thank you!

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    Could you please consider share a screenshot about your flow's configuration?

    How do you pass the selected options from the LookUp field in your Portal to your flow?

    Please check and see if the following blog could help in your scenario:

    Hi @v-xida-msft ,

    Thank you for the reply!

    I do not want to trigger the flow from the portal. The flow is scheduled to run once in a day. I want to fetch the records from one entity and send it as email by fetching the email ids which is displayed on the portal by selecting a contact from the lookup field on the entity. When I use the ‘List records’ for the CDS in the Power automate flow I get the above results after the compose step. The contact records are not constant on the entity and I need to fetch it dynamically. Could you please suggest how to extract the email ids as a semicolon separated values so that I can use it in the send email step of the Flow?

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    Could you please share a screenshot about your flow's configuration?

    Do you want to retrieve the email address of the contact selected within the LookUp field in your Entity, then send email to these retrieve email address?

    I have made a test on my side, please try the following workaround:

    1.JPG

    2.JPG

    3.JPG

    Within the "Condition" action, left input field set to following:

    empty(item()?['_crba2_normalcontact_value'])

    Note: The crba2 represents the prefix of columns in my Entity, the normalcontact represents the Contact LookUp field in my Entity.

    Within the "Condition 2" action, Left Input box set to following:

    empty(outputs('Get_a_record')?['body/emailaddress1'])

    Within the "Append to string variable" action, Value field set to following:

    concat(outputs('Get_a_record')?['body/emailaddress1'], ';')

    Within the "Send an email (V2)" action, To field set to EmailAddress variable initialized above.

    Please try above solution, then check if the issue is solved.

    Regards,
