Now maybe this is not the correct forum for this, it's hard to figure out.....could be Teams, SharePoint or PowerApps, but believe it to be PowerApps as the default SharePoint form works fine.
I've created a PowerApps SharePoint form for a SharePoint List in SharePoint Online, it has an attachments button in it and in SharePoint Online any file I attach this opens correctly, so if a PNG will open in local picture editor, if PDF, will open in local PDF reader etc
For use by the relevant Team I now wish to deploy the form to a Teams channel, so I set-up a Team and channel, and add my SharePoint list (URL)
All work perfectly, my PowerApps designed form opens up, allows me to enter new items, edit read etc. All very nice and neat. I'm a happy chappy!
Problem is that attachments in my form do not open in Teams, instead they are saved to the local 'downloads' folder.
That wouldn't be such a big issue if the interface told you it was saving them there, but it doesn't, so for the user when they click the attachment it looks like it is doing nothing, but in fact it is saving it to downloads.
(I found this out by accident, as I also kept repeating to click the attachments button and spotted that I had several copies of the file now in local windows 'download' folder.)
I suspect this is more a PowerApps issue, as when you wish to do this within a 'standalone' mobile APP, you must set-up a viewer, so even though this form is deployed in Teams as a PowerApps SharePoint Form it seems like it still is looking for a viewer within PowerAPPs?
Am I correct with this or am I missing something?
Especially Note: If I don't deploy the SharePoint list as a PowerApps form , so just a default SharePoint form, it works fine in Teams , so attachment opens, this is why, doubly, I believe this is a PowerApps issue
