Question for dropdown can input text also?

Hi I like to check

 

If my SP list is a choice, and I want to user to be able to also either select input text into the same box is it possible.

 

what is the best way.  

I want to be able to auto populate vendor list but if the name are not in the list , they can input into it.

Should I use dropdown or just a input text box and how to get the populate the list?

    Do you want to have an 'Other' option so that users can add their own choice?

    Hi @bbsin ,

    I suggest you to use Combo-box instead of dropdown if you want to type and filter options. 

    Make multiple selection OFF (to mimic dropdown). Enable 'Make Searchable' for textbox to search options of combo-box

    Hi @bbsin ,

    I think you are saying that onSelect 1 item from a dropdown to auto populate other dropdown with items related ?

    If yes then,

    You must have certain condition then Add them to default or defaultSelectedItems (for ComboBox) based on item selected by dropdown.

    If you have LookUp field based dropdown then it must have Unique ID, So filter Record where ID have LookUp item.

     

    If you describe more then it would be easier.
