Challenge with clicking and looping through a web table with a link on each row...

First of all, the new Desktop preview is absolutely awesome!! I can even temporary disable actions (unlike Power Automate). 😉

Due to the lack of proper documentation, I have to reach out the community.

I'm trying to loop through each item of this web table.

First, I'm trying to "count" the items in the table by using the element .length attribute, but never returns the proper integer value.

Second, I'm trying to click on each link "View Students" to open a new page and capture it's content.  I cannot find a way to tell the mouse click on the next link on the same table....

There is got to be a more efficient way of doing this... any advice or recommendation would help me meeting my deadline 🙂

    Hi @testasdfasfsafa

You could try iterating through the rows by adding a variable in the CSS selector.

For example, you could capture the first couple of elements and review their CSS selectors.

Then identify where you could enter a numerical variable that would increase at each iteration.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi,

I am also trying to solve the similar. I wanted to loop through each line items and export it back to excel.

Please let me know if you have flow to share,

    Thanks,

    Sri

First, if you can do result to display ALL, do that.

I had something similar where I downloaded several statements in a similar way all through send keys. I would use elements to “Show All” and then it just tabbed through the table and pressed enter on the link.

if you were to be able to get this to work, and say it downloaded 1 excel file, then you could count the files after it’s done.

if you were able to show all, you should be able to extract that table and then use the .rows property to count the rows.

@MichaelAnnis - Thank you for the suggestion. Sorry i didnt understand. I am quite new to the power automate.

Can you please share some workflow? Ideally the output should be something like attached "step 7" and what i am currently getting is "output" with only one line of item. My objective is to

    1) You need to extract the rows to know how many there are and build a loop that goes through all of them

2)If you need all of them, you need to build a loop that clicks through each of them, scrapes data, then returns to the previous page and continues.
