Sharepoint throttling limitations

Hi all.

I'm new in Power Automate and decided to find out about connectors throttling limitations.

I can't correctly understand how they work.

For example, I have a sharepoint connector that allows use 600 calls per connection in 60 seconds.

I made 20 calls (imagine that all requests are sent and handled in the same time), for example, at 12:25:30 and 580 calls at 12:25:35. After 1 minute (at 12:26:30) I will only be able to use 20 calls and the remaining 580 calls will be available to use at 12:26:35 or will all 600 calls be available at 12:26:30?

I don’t have an answer to your specific question, but if you’re regularly making 500+ SharePoint or Excel calls per minute, you should look into using batch actions.

    SharePoint: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Cookbook/Batch-Update-SharePoint-List-With-External-Data/td-p/1365410

    Excel: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Cookbook/Excel-Batch-Create-Update-and-Upsert/td-p/1624706

If you’re using these, you should be able to update, create, or delete over 1 million records a day per flow without any throttling concerns.

Sharepoint - is just a sample. I guess that almost all Flow connectors have throttling limitations (at least everything I used had limitations), so I just want to know how this throttling logic works to avoid cases when it can be triggered or apply appropriate logic to avoid issues.

But thanks for answer and for links. Will be interesting to check them 🙂
