Input text Box clears when i a do a search

Hi all,

 

I am very new to this, so bear with me.

 

I have created an app to do some basic functionalities, i have an gallery connected to a SP list and i have an input text box in order to collect data, the problem i have is that when i have an value in the input box and i do a search the text box clears and i need to reinsert the input, is there a way to save that data and even when i do a search it won't clear the text box?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi @jluydens , 

     

    What is your eventual goal with the values entered in the text boxes? Do you want to update your SharePoint list? If so, may be use the OnChange property of the text box to update the SP list. That way, even if you change your search text, the values won't go away.

    Hi,

     

    Thank you for responding to my question.

     

    A user can input all the quantities per item and this data gets collected in a collection which then will be send via email in a html table, this will not be updated to the source SP list, so I was trying to figure out a way to save the text box value.  I am not sure if your suggestion would work in my scenario, in the sense that maybe one user at the moment updated the list and another user will see that value when it isn't needed.

     

    I don't know if i am explaining this correctly, so thank you in advance for your patience.
