Leave credit provision in Leave Request Template

Hi All,

I am working on Leave request template in Power apps. I have successfully run the app & migrated Source to sharepoint list.
Now i would like to add a feature to this app which will credit leaves on monthly basis for each employee based on their joining date.

When an employee joins a company he/she is on probation for 3 months and he/she should be getting 1 leave per month and after 3 months, if he/she is confirmed, he should be getting 2 leaves per month for vacation leave.

For example : - lets say EMP1 joined a company in April 2021. He should get 1 leave for each month for next 3 months (Apr, May and June). Once he is confirmed he should get 2 leaves per month i.e. in the month of July he should be getting 2 leaves making the total of 5 leaves (1 + 1 + 1 + 2).

Also, I want to Carry forward certain types of leaves from this financial year to next.

Could you please help me  and let me know how do I automate this process in Power Apps ?

Thanks in Advance!

You'll probably need Power Automate to handle this a little more cleanly than just in Power Apps (though I supposed it can be done solely with Power Apps). I'd suggest using Power Automate to run every X number of time, then use it to do the determinations for incrementing the leave based on a comparison between current date and the incumbent's Hire Date.

Side note, working in HR myself, I'd hope you have some sort of limit to the leave's carry-forward balance at some point! Also look into your location's sick leave accumulation as mandated by whatever laws in your area (if applicable).

@zmorek , Thanks for looking into my query. But i am new to power automate so don't have idea how to make the flow for the same. Can you please help me with the flow?
Yes, there will be limit to the leave's carry-forward balance, let say 10 at the end of financial year.
