File from network path to Sharepoint: Dynamic folder and file type

Hi,

if a file in a certain path is created, i want to save it to my sharpeoint document library. Iam doing this with the file system connector.

File type:

The files on the network path are saved and generated by an external software. It always saves different file types:

i only need to png and the lst file to be saved to sharepoint. Is it possible to filter the file type?

Source folder:

Because there is a huge amount of files, the external software changes the folder the files are being saved in after some time:

If one folder has received its max files, another folder is created with a continuous number. So if 51 is full, 52 is being created and the files are being saved there.

So the problem: My source folder changes at some time

So is there a way i can make the source folder dynamically? With the file system connector i only can choose one source folder....

How to solve this?

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.

    Dear W,

"i only need to png and the lst file to be saved to sharepoint. Is it possible to filter the file type?"

Just pull everything first and then use a 'Filter array' action to filter out anything ending on 'png' and continue working with that. There may be a trigger filter build in the options, but I am not that familiar, check out the trigger settings for this.

I do not know a way of making the trigger of a flow dynamic, this sounds difficult (for my limited intelligence). You could probably instead change your flow to a scheduled flow ... and as such you can use a 'List files in folder' action (or something similar) which can be used with a variable or dynamic input data. To test this, create a variable or Compose action which holds the path you need, then use the out put of this step as input for the path in which you want to check the files. If this works, then you have proven the concept and can make the Compose/Variable dynamic to your needs.

    Hope the above helps,

    Happy flowing,

    Koen
