I have multiple forms where the user selects the date which then goes to the excel column. All 3 of my forms are set up the same way, but one keeps appending the time to the date on the excel table, which I don't want. I have some power automate flows that are dependent on the date being formatted to just date. I have the Date column in the table formatted to *3/14/2012, the field is just a date picker, no time picker. How do I fix this? Thanks.
try referencing it liek so
////Where "11/22/2022 5:14 AM" is where your date value goes, this formula returns only //// 11/22/2022 DateValue("11/22/2022 5:14 AM","en-US")
If that doesn't work, not 100% sure what best fix is, as Excel doesn't actually understand time. Just references a number that kind of refers to a place IN time and then displays it as a date. You might check that the column in question in your table is properly formatted to date only.
You may also want to look at SharePoint if you are using PowerApps to write data back INTO excel and will have more than 1 person using your app at any given time. Using excel as a writable datasource for multiple users WILL eventually have you run into errors and dropped/lost data etc.
can also add a step into your flow that after pulling in the column data from excel it then formats it to the format necessary before referencing it
HiFirst Check the Datetpicker's "Format" property and make sure it is on "DateTimeFormat.ShortDate".Then make sure the "Update" property of the related Datacard is only sending the date and not date and not date and time. If you're using patch make sure you are Patching only the dateDatePicker1.SelectedDate-------------------------------------------------------------------------If I have answered your question, please mark your post as Solved.If you like my response, please give it a Thumbs Up.
It just started formatting correctly, I have no idea why or how.
