Multiple concurrent desktop flows on a single server without on-premises gateway so in "direct to machine" way

Hi All!

Scenario:

Windows Server 2019
2 desktop flows connections set up using 2 different user accounts
2 unattended add-ons allocated to the environment
No on-premises gateway

Currently desktop flows get queued even if they use different user/connection, and as per MS docs, we need on-premises gateway to allow them to run concurrently.

So the only options to distribute workload are:

Use on-premise gateway or
Register new machine and use groups to distribute automatically, or distribute manually with desktop connections

Do you happen to know, if this is possible or planned to allow multiple concurrent desktop flows on a single server without on-premises gateway so in "direct to machine" way?

We can run multiple concurrent desktop flows on a single server.

Correct, however I am wondering if this is possible *without* in-premises gateway

Set up a Windows Server 2016, 2019 or 2022 device with the on-premises gateway and the latest version of desktop flows installed.

To add to some more context, I am asking as I see Microsoft's info banner saying gateways are deprecated all over the places. Am I missing something?

"Gateways for desktop flows are now deprecated except for China region. Switch to our machine-management capabilities."
