Excel always opening as Read only even we terminate the process before launching excel sheet, in power Automate desktop.

is anyone facing the same issue? please help me on this.

Have you perhaps enabled the "Open as ReadOnly" toggle on the Launch Excel action?

Alternatively, is the file stored locally on your system, or is it on a network location? Can it be open by some other user at the same time?

Thanks for your reply. I have disable that read only option only even though we terminate just before opening this excel sheet.

You can check below things

Check if you are opening and closing the instances correctly

Any instances opened and check if not closed

If your excel is a shared sheet then check others are not opened

Does it contain old VBA files?
Has the file been repaired?
Has the office been repaired?
The above may affect PAD operation.

No, it doesn't contain any VBA. No the file is not been repaired. We did something in the same excel. But we close that instance even we terminate the process before we open that file again. It opened as read only then it didn't allow us to save or close that excel sheet.

Is there any solution? I have attached the screen shot as well for the reference. Even I have added terminate process, before Launching this excel instance and opened as Read/Write format.

Check for any opened background instance via task manager and end them
otherwise select "Nest under a new excel process" in Launch Excel.

If that does not fix it, I'm not sure what's up with it, perhaps copying and replacing will fix it.
