power automate returns a error when i'm idle

so i've done a flow which works fine when i'm logged to the computer. but I use a remote control function to use it.

this flow takes 24 hours to complete, so I leave the pc running (just log off from the virtual machine) and let it run. but when I come back, it returns a error saying that it could not do the action that it was supposed to.

the first action is to open an excel file (which it does fine even when i'm not logged to the computer), but the second action is to select the window "data", which is when it fails.

can someone help me?

Which application software are you trying to manipulate in the second action?
Is that "Data" window always opened even if you're not signed in to your Windows desktop?

The flow is used to update a query on excel. So it's basically press 2 buttons on the screen. Yes, the data window is always in sight for the computer to select it.

You can always use action "Take screenshot" for troubleshooting and debugging purpose. 🙂

You should check the actual desktop situation what your desktop flow is "watching".

I believe strongly that, that is your issue.
