user cannot edit excel

hi,

 

I've created an app connecting to excel on OneDrive for Business. I've shared excel and app with an user who can edit both.

When user opens the app all excel-info is displayed but the user cannot edit exiciting data or add new data.

 

 When i share an app that uses a Sharepoint-list with the same user, the user is able to edit exiciting data and add new data.

    Hi hch,

     

    Could you please share more details regarding the problematic app using OneDrive for business as the data source, what is the error message when editing/add data?

    Please make sure the file has been shared, and users have the "can Edit " configured.

    In addition, please also click the Advanced option, make sure the permission level has Contribute selected:

    Then check to see if this would make it work.

    There is no error message. The value that the user tries to edit changes back to the value read from excel.

     

    I have checked the user settings is "can edit" and "contribute" but nothing helps...

     

    I've exported the table from Excel to Sharepoint, and now the user can edit and add data. This can be a solution for some of my apps, but for others I need to store data directly in Excel...
