Error on Teams notification

Hi everyone,

I am getting the following error in my Flow:

The request failed. Error code: 'UnauthorizedSenderForChannelNotification'. Error Message: 'The sender with objectId '2343190a-3a25-4379-803a-10e66ba2542e' is not a member or an owner of the team.'

I have ensured the team that the adaptive card is getting added to has the user as an owner and I have recreated the connection several times.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you,
Hyde

    Hey @jwiskema

This is an authentication issue, and the account you are trying to run the Microsoft Teams action with does not have access to the Microsoft Team where you are trying to have Microsoft Teams send the message. Verify that you have the correct account selected under the My connections.

If you are using the correct account, verify that you can post to the Team with that account manually. If that works, then you should re-authenticate and/or delete and re-add the Microsoft Teams connector from the Data > Connections page of Flow.

On the connections page, either Delete and re-add the Microsoft Teams connector, or click Switch account to re-enter the right credential.

If you are still having issues, try logging out of Flow and back in all together. Also, try to use the Post a message as the Flow bot to a user action ("https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/teams/#post-a-message-as-the-flow-bot-to-a-user") and send yourself a message to see if it works.

Thank you for the message.  I was able to create a team with the account that I am using in the Flow connector.  I have created and re-created the connection, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I  tested the flow bot and it worked fine and posted the message to teams.  I have even tried a different account to use the connector with and it still produces the same error.  Both accounts have GA rights and are able to create teams.

    Hey @jwiskema

Try to remove yourself as an owner, then add back to the Team as a member, then promote to owner again, this should resolve the issue.

Apparently you cannot remove the workflow owner.  Thoughts?

If it makes any difference I am using one of Microsoft's supported templates:

Did anyone find a fix for this I have the same issue, when I trigger the 'Post message in Chat or Channel' action from a powerapp the teams connection authentication is ignored and it looks to authenticate via the powerapp user account, so if the app user isn't a member of the teams channel the flow is posting to then the action fails despite using chat bot and despite the teams connection in the flow authenticating with a user account that is a member of the channel
