Localizing an option set in a canvas app

Hello,

I am currently working on a canvas app, where I need the user to input a country to proceed. I used the solution form this article to localize the country list. So far so good.

The problems occur, when I reload the formular I'm building or when I switch the language mid-way through. As you can see in the following screenshot, the displayed "selected item" no longer is the country name, but the text [object Object] and in the background the right country is still chosen.

I figured it could have something to do with the "DefaultSelectedItems", which is still "[Parent.Default]", but I don't know how to fix it. In the background I'm using dataverse with an option set with 180 entries (the country names)

You will need to update the default command to reflect the changes you made to the items property of the control.

Use the same if condition in the default value and it should be fine.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the advice, but it wasn't the if-clause I had to add. Since I want the default option from the parent (because I want to show the user what he did input before saving), I just had to add the column I want to display to that default value.

I needed to add the column "DisplayOption" to the DefaultSelectedItems as well. This was what I did:
