External Email Displays Incorrectly

Hi,

I am using "Send email with options" to send an email to both internal and external recipients. Internal recipients see the correctly formatted email (e.g.: using ** before and after text to make it bold) but external recipients do not.

From the flow:

For internal recipients, the email properly displays as:

For external recipients, the proper formatting does not occur and all text just runs together:

How do I retain the correct formatting for external recipients?

Hi there, I have a feeling that the mark-up used will need to be re-written to HTML for your external users to view it. I'm going to test right now, let's see:

So receiving Test 1, internal:

I receive both the marked up & non-marked up emails.

External user, same case as you:

Only showing the markup.

Now, for the HTML test, my internal user ONLY sees the formatted text:

And my external user sees the same!

It looks like HTML is the way to go!

How do you "change to HTML"? I did the following now both internal and external display incorrectly.

Please take a look at the screenshot I posted alongside my response. See how in the first one, the body uses ** in the markup, but the second one uses

<strong> </strong>

? You need to write the markup in HTML.
