Saving selections in a multi-select object in a gallery row

I have a gallery on a form that I'm using as a repeating table. It requires a multi-select field. I've used a sub-gallery as a multi-select field and also a list box. In both cases I can get the object to select multiple items, but when I save the row in the gallery, the items are no longer selected. How can I get a multi-select field to retain its selections in the saved gallery row. By the way, the save function creates a new row in the gallery and I want the multi-select to return to its default state for a new row.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please share more details about your scenario? I am not able to imagine your App interface based on your description, will you please post some screenshots? Besides, if you would like to display items within a Gallery, you need to set the Items property of that Gallery connect to a table, could be one of your data sources or a collection.

Here's a breakdown of where I am at the moment:

    I have a Gallery with a multi-select lookup list:

    Gallery 2.JPG

The items from the lookup are listed, and I can select multiples as I want.

    Gallery 3.JPG

When I add an item to the gallery, the Save button is displayed. Clicking it does the following patch:

    Gallery 5.JPG

A new row is added but the selections for the lookup list are not saved. This is what has me stuck.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Please try below formula on DefaultSelectedItems property of the Combo box:

Filter('Action Groups HGA Groups', Title in ThisItem.ActionGroups.Title)

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response, but I'm afraid my app has evolved somewhat and I'm back to my original problem.

So I have a gallery with a multi-select combo box that is getting its values from a multi-select choice field in SharePoint. See how the Items are coded below:

    Combo box question1.JPG

If I select multiple items and then save the row, the items are not retained:

I'm not sure how to apply your response to this configuration and scenario. I'm also not sure how to patch the selections back to SharePoint (if that's possible).
