Need to copy the Text data From Resume/CV which is a word document and Pasted  into another Company provided  Word  document Template.

Solution:

We are able to extract text from the Resume/CV  and save it  successfully But we're struggling to paste it, as we need the Exact location  in the Word document.

There are no native actions for working with Word documents in PAD. The best way to do something like this would be using scripting in your preferred language. Any of the following can do this and can also be invoked by a PAD flow: VBscript, PowerShell, C#, Python 2.

You can likely easily find a solution on how to do that in any of these scripting languages if you search for a solution online.

    Hi,

as @Agnius says, there are not native Word actions in Power Automate Desktop, but there are in Power Automate Cloud. An option is :

    1. to extract the text

    2. make different variables out of this extracted text

    3. Push the variables to the Cloud flow

    4. Edit your Word Template from the Cloud flow as Power Automate Cloud does have actions to populate a Word Template.

    Good luck.

You could also use the OneDrive action to convert a given word document to a pdf, then use parts of this template to either extract exact data values from the document or just get the entire file contents as a text replica:
