Copy the label field to Combo Box. Data are from Sharepoint List.

I have a Person Column in my Sharepoint list. I set this as Person because I need to use this in a custom view  filter using [Me].

In my App, I want to look up the Person (manager) from another Combo Box (employee - ComboBox1). The data are coming from Office365Users.

Office365Users.ManagerV2(ComboBox1.Selected.Mail).displayName

- this formula is not working for me.

    Hi @-aj ,

    What is not working ? I just copied this

    Office365Users.ManagerV2(ComboBox1.Selected.Mail).displayName

    onto a Label with my email selected in a Combo Box with the Items

    Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm:Self.SearchText, top:999})

    and received my manager's name in the label.

    If you are using the person column in SharePoint, then the property should be "Email" and not "Mail".

    Example:

    If(IsBlank(ComboBox1.Selected.Email), "", Office365Users.ManagerV2(ComboBox1.Selected.Email).displayName)

    Your formula is working on Text Label but not on Combo Boxes.

    If you want to the manager value to show up in a SharePoint person combo box then it needs to be in a record format that SharePoint expects.

    Try something like this in the DefaultSelectedItems property of the Manager combo box.

    If(
     IsBlank(ComboBox1.Selected.Selected.Email),
     Blank(),
     With(
     {_manager: Office365Users.ManagerV2(ComboBox1.Selected.Selected.Email)},
     {
     Claims: Concatenate(
     "i:0#.f|membership|",
     _manager.userPrincipalName
     ),
     DisplayName: _manager.displayName,
     Email: _manager.mail
     }
     )
    )

    Looks like I got it to work. Made some changes here - from

    ComboBox1.Selected.Selected.Email

    to

    ComboBox1.Selected.Mail
